CCTP Exams are proctored by trained and certificated examiners, all of whom are qualified and experienced counterterrorism, homeland security, and/or defense experts. Examiners work within a clearly defined environment and criteria, and are subject to extensive and detailed quality control procedures.
Online CCTP Exam Procedures
After passing the eligibility criteria, each participant will be given an access to an online examination with total of 30 questions out of which 25 are multiple choice, two are open questions, and three are essay-format questions.
Before exam starts, participants will need to provide Identification Document, audio and visual system set up (such as Skype).
Audio and Video MUST BE open throughout the examination process.
Participants will be given one hour to answer all questions, review answers, and have clarification with Examiner who will be presented during the examination process.
Once the time limit is over, the system will automatically complete the examination and participant will be notified. Each multiple choice question is appointed three as a score and written questions receive five as a score.
Once finished, Examiner will complete the call and notify the participant when the review will take place.
Once the review is completed, participant will be notified with the results via email and certificates will be mailed out to the address provided.
CCTP Classroom Exam Procedure
After completing the CCTP Three Day Preparatory Course, each participant will be given exam papers with total of 30 questions out of which 25 are multiple choice, two are open questions, and three are essay-format questions.
Participants will be allowed one hour to answer all questions, review answers, and have clarification with Examiner (if needed).
Upon completing the exam papers, participant will leave the room and wait until their exam has been reviewed and scored by Examiner. Each multiple choice question is appointed three as a score and written questions receive five as a score.
Once the exams are reviewed and scored, participants are asked to return to the exam room.
Examiner will present exams with final scores to CCTP Board Director.
CCTP Director will unveil pass and fail scores. For those who failed, CCTP Director will assign an assessment or re-certification (dependent on the final score).
